Amberley Castle in Arundel, UK. It dates back to 683 AD where the land was gifted to Bishop Wilford by Caedwalla, King of Wessex. In 1103, Bishop Luffa started building the timber-framed lodge. After 400 years the lodge has been transformed into a manor house and has held a number of residing bishops.
Wandering around the courtyards of the castle, you can take in all the old charm.
This castle certainly transports you back to a fantasy land in modern living.
