Hampton Court Royal Palace, located in Richmond in the Borough of Richmond upon Thames, London England. United Kingdom, Great Britain. The former residence to King Henry VIII the Renaissance Prince who reigned (1509-47) is usually remembered for the Kings's six wives and his legendary appetite. He sent two of his wives, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard to their deaths at the Tower of London. The palace dates back to 1515 and served as a splendid home to King Henry VIII. It sits just outside central London on the River Thames. There are magnificent gardens filled with exquisite flowerbeds that fill the historic palace grounds.
