Description
Kissing Camels is one of the most famous rock formations in the Garden of the Gods. As the winter afternoon sun began to set over this iconic rock formation, you see the warm hues of their huge rock glow. Look closely as you see it resembles two camels kissing.
Garden of the Gods located in Colorado Springs, Colorado was designated a national landmark in 1971. As you explore the gardens you travel back in time over 300 million years ago of geological history. The elevation as you enter the park is over 6,000 feet, but that not the highest point in the park.
This photo was taken in the Winter month of December in 2021 while I visited the gardens.
